What does a Chiropractor do? |
|
Chiropractors are highly trained physicians that specialize in the
removal of a type of Nerve interference called a Subluxation. A
subluxation is when a vertabrae misaligns from its normal position
and causes irritation to the surrounding soft tissue and Nerves.
Chiropractors remove subluxations/nerve interference by
manipulating the spine, through a Chiropractic adjustment, back
into its normal position. When the nervous system is free of any
interference then the body can function properly and express true
health.
The nervous system controls and coordinates every function in the
body. If there is interference in the nervous system a person can
not have 100% health and is more prone to dis-ease. If the nervous
system is functioning at optimum then you will too. Everyone should
be checked by a Chiropractor for subluxations/nerve interference on
a regular basis.

What should I expect during my first
visit? |
The goal of your first visit is to determine if you qualify for the type of care that we offer. The doctor determines this by performing a detailed History of your complaint followed by an extensive physical examination consisting of Chiropractic, Orthopedic, Neurologic, and Range of Motion tests. X-rays may be ordered if indicated.
If the doctor determines that you qualify for care he will provide you with personalized recomendations. If it is determined that this form of therapy is not suited for your condition a referral and recomendations will be provided. |

Does an adjustment hurt? |
|
No. An adjustments does not hurt. In fact some people find a Chiropractic adjustment to be quite enjoyable. |

What is the "popping" noise? |
|
The popping noise is just gas being released from the joint that is being adjusted. It is very safe |

Does your office take insurance? |
There are many different types of insurance plans that offer Chiropractic benefits. We will qualify your insurance benifits and submit all paper work for you. |

Does your office treat children? |
|
Yes. In fact children respond greatly to chiropractic care.
Most patients conditions originate from micro and macro traumas
caused from the things we have done to our bodies when we are
younger. Left untreated, through the years our bodies adapt and
compensate to misalignments in the spine and or pelvis and can
cause various degenerative joint disorders throughout the body in
our later years of life. When children are checked regularly,
preventative care can eliminate the chance of having altered health
as they grow allowing their bodies to function at optimum
performance. |

What is Advanced Laser Therapy? |
Advanced Laser Therapy or “photobiomodulation” is the FDA approved use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near infrared) to create therapeutic effects. During each painless treatment, the laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal and ideal healing environment that reduces inflammation, muscle spasm, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.
